This project has been a long time in the making, born from my own personal experiences and the realisation of a glaring need for a comprehensive resource in Tasmania's whisky scene.
Having immersed myself in the whisky industry, after relocating to Tasmania to work at Sullivans Cove Distillery, I discovered a treasure trove of knowledge within the industry and a genuine passion for the craft. This unique opportunity allowed me to delve deep into the industry, expanding my understanding of both Sullivans Cove and the wider industry itself.
However, as I engaged with numerous visitors to Tasmania, it became increasingly clear that information about the industry and its distilleries was scattered and not easily accessible for visitors. The need for a centralised, curated platform became glaringly apparent. After leaving Sullivans Cove and starting A hobart based design studio, i had the opportunity to focus on the industry as a whole.
Enter The Tasmanian Whisky Guide. The mission is simple: to make this wealth of information easily accessible to all and shine a spotlight on distilleries both large and small. With our carefully crafted articles, we not only aim to provide you, the visitor, with valuable insights, but also to showcase the remarkable developments within this industry.
